I knew before coming to Rimini, that the city is well known for its events and festivals. Rimini attracts ever-increasing interest from tourists around the globe to visit the city with its particular food and drinks, sport events, as well as concerts. In fact, during my Easter break, I was able to attend Rimini’ international frisbee contest - Paganello World Beach Ultimate Cup. Never been to the sport event of this kind, and unexpectedly it was amazing- great sun, some wind and nice Easter’ mood!
And here are the winners:
open champions: Los Tiger (USA), spirit: Ghosts Missing (Germany)
women’s champions: Super Hot Pot (International), spirit: Copenhagen (Denmark)
mixed champions: ÄssäMix (Finland), spirit: The Clan (UK)
juniors Bollywood Swing Kings (Belgium), spirit: Mighty Hucks (UK)
Could be great to come back to Rimini next year, and become the frisbee fan again.

When I went to Rimini one month ago, I was very surprised how many bikers I could see both in the old town and along the seaside. After I came back I did some research and found out that the city provides several cycling routes which allow nice bike-rides through Rimini and the Emilia-Romagna region. Actually, you can find about 30 km of bike paths within Rimini and the Marina di Rimini. In case you want to do sporty activities during your holiday, this is an optimal way to connect sight-seeing with sports.
The following link of the tourist office provides several tours- you can choose for example between a “panoramic tour” or the “cuckold´s tour”. Please click here.

For those who would like to do some winter sport in Rimini, there is now the perfect offer: An ice rink, not only made for locals but also for tourists, visiting the city around Christmas and New Year. So, put on your winter gear and don’t miss this unique opportunity to ice-skate on the seaside.
The ice rink in the harbour area will be opened from 4 December until 31 January. With its nine hundred square meters and a separate area for children, it leaves enough space for a lot of fun.
The rink is opened from Monday to Friday from 3 pm to 7 pm and from 8.30 pm to 11 pm. On weekends and holidays it is additionally opened in the morning from 10.00 am to 12:30 pm. You don’t need to bring your own skates since you can rent the equipment on the spot. For more information about the ice rink and on other activities in December, click here.
