I knew before coming to Rimini, that the city is well known for its events and festivals. Rimini attracts ever-increasing interest from tourists around the globe to visit the city with its particular food and drinks, sport events, as well as concerts. In fact, during my Easter break, I was able to attend Rimini’ international frisbee contest - Paganello World Beach Ultimate Cup. Never been to the sport event of this kind, and unexpectedly it was amazing- great sun, some wind and nice Easter’ mood!
And here are the winners:
open champions: Los Tiger (USA), spirit: Ghosts Missing (Germany)
women’s champions: Super Hot Pot (International), spirit: Copenhagen (Denmark)
mixed champions: ÄssäMix (Finland), spirit: The Clan (UK)
juniors Bollywood Swing Kings (Belgium), spirit: Mighty Hucks (UK)
Could be great to come back to Rimini next year, and become the frisbee fan again.

Are you already planning your next summer holiday in Rimini or elsewhere on the Adriatic Sea? Do you enjoy seaside activities such as bathing, fishing and collecting shells on the beach? Then you might be interested in one of Rimini’s smaller museums: The Shell Museum. Besides around 8000 beautiful shells, the museum presents various exhibits connected to seafaring, fishing and beach life from different decades. Visitors can even admire an old, wooden life guard’s boat.

The museum is located in Via Minguzzi in Viserbella di Rimini and is opened in the evenings in summer. For more information you can visit their website http://www.escaion.it (click here for the translated version) or contact them via telephone: 0039541 721060. Enjoy!
One of the things I was really looking forward to last weekend in Rimini was to get out and spend some time at the seaside. Keeping in mind that most hotels at the beaches would be closed and that it was not really beach weather out, I wasn’t really too surprised that the beaches were pretty empty. Despite the foggy weather, I set out for a long Saturday morning walk on the beach with a friend of mine. It was really nice, there were plenty of people walking their dogs, jogging or just strolling along the water looking for shells like we were, and a fresh sea breeze in the air. We even saw some fishermen out waiting for their first catch. What I thought was quite impressive was width of the beach which goes on for quite a few kilometers, and one could tell certainly was more beautiful in the summertime . Personally, I enjoy taking a walk along seaside; its really always a nice thing to do in any season of the year. So I recommend putting on your boots and take in the fresh sea air even if its winter out; you won’t regret it.
